Dream:
Assalamualaikum,
May Allah bless you all.
My dream: I was in a room, there were three of us: Maulana Shaykh Nazim wearing green cloak, a person wearing purple cloak, and myself. While Maulana talking to me, the person asking questions but not really answered and that person left. I did not really remember what Maulana said but basically two points: 1) when Kiamah comes I have to recite Allah’s Names; 2) Maulana was asking if I can take note while he is speaking. Then I search for my notebook. Ended.
I woke up and realize that Maulana’s face in the dream is not like I recognize from pictures. The face more rounded, yellowish and, ‘chubby’ (forgive my English). Suddenly I remember Grandshaykh Abdullah. But now I am not really sure. Could you please interpret the dream and let me know who they were in the dream?
Interpretation:
a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem
wa `alaykum salam,
لَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَـٰمَةِ وَلَآ أُقۡسِمُ بِٱلنَّفۡسِ ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
{I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; (1) And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit; (Eschew Evil).} Surat al-Qiyama 75:1-2
Surat al-Qiyama starts with the mention of the Nafs al-Lawwama, which is the self struggling to do good against the bad desires. Mentioning Allah’s Names according to the prescription your Shaykh has given is the most potent medication to fulfill your spiritual needs. This must be in addition to keeping the association of the Shaykh as well as his authorized representative, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham in the purple cloak. Make sure you pay attention when he is addressing you. Imitating the sunnah of the Sahaba keeping Suhba with the Prophet (s) is the foundation of the Naqshbandi Tariqa as Shah Naqshband said, “Our way is association…” Take notes of the Shaykh’s teachings, as these will give you the full blessing of the association and serve as an invaluable resource in the future.
