I am very embarrassed whilst writing this, but Allah Ta’la ordered us to ask those who know therefore i hope you will understand. I go to college & I was walking to my lesson with another girl & my teacher (Atheist) asked me which lesson I had and we said “xyz” and then he said “oh! good luck(in a sarcastic way), suggesting that xyz is a bad teacher” and then I said “she isnt a bad teacher” and then he touched my elbow a few times and said “I’m only joking!” (in a jok-ey tone) Who is at fault? Why do I feel guilty? I was feeling so angry at myself because i should have told him not to touch me, not only on a religious basis but because it is highly unprofessional. How can I prevent situations like this? Should I tell anyone? How do I perfect my modesty? Jazakallah Khayr
wa `alaykum salam,
Don’t worry, you are not at fault. Don’t feel guilty as it was not your intention to make him to touch you. Actions are according to intention.
