Question:
I have bought non-Muslim orphan girl in my house,I gave the orphanage some money as a donation so that they let her go,I bought her because life in orphanage was horrible,girls are sexually abused and so that she could become a Muslim. I do not want to marry her,what are the option for me to keep her.what is her and my relation now,is she now like a baandi (slave girl) because I got her in exchange of money. Can I keep her as a concubine, she is ready to live with me as concubine, but I wanted to confirm is such a thing permissible in Islam. She is orphan and has no where to go and probably no one would marry he. She would just end up on streets, which will just get worse anything could happen there.If I let her go she will become non-Muslim again. Please tell me if there is any possibility of me keeping her without marriage.
Answer:
There is no such thing as slaves today in Islam and any such sale and purchase is invalid, so short of marriage any relationship between you and her would be fornication (zina).
