The Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) contracted the marriage with A`isha (Allah be pleased with her) between one and two years after Abu Talib and Khadija died – which was three years before the Hijra – and they began to live together three years later as reported from her in the books of Sahih, Sunan, and Musnads.
