Breaking Fast in Mensturation

Question:

Salam to Shaykh Nazim, Kabbani Brothers n eShaykh admin.

I have a question to ask, is observed that if a women make neeyat to fast and did sehri make dua offer Fajar, but later if she have menses is that fast becomes void? Can she open/break her fast? What if half a day is passed by? I ve seen many ladies who are saying that one can break a fast if menses started before 10am or12pm. We live in Pakistan and time situation is if 10am or 12pm already 5-6 hours passed away. I always have a confusion regarding this matter. Because once neeyt made then why to break fast, we will only be unable to offer namaz in menstruation state. Plus in that case if menses started do we have to offer qaza of that day remaining prayers . Kindly answer the query at earliest and help.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

When a woman notices the blood of her period, her fast becomes invalid even if that is a moment before sunset.
