Salaam,
I had to break my fast the other day, as I was not feeling well. I was shivering with a temperature and sort throat. The fast still had 9hrs until it closed. Is it true i have to feed someone for 40days to make up for this? Please reply thank you.

Ulama in UAE gave permission to laborers to break their fast if the temperature exceeds 122 Fahrenheit (50 Celsius). Regardless of this, one can break his fast if he feels weak or is sick or even when extremely thirsty. In this case one shall make up the day later.
