Naqshbandi Mureed confused since Shaykh Nazim (ra) passing

Question:

Assalaamualykum,

1) Is Shaykh Mehmet (ra) the “Head” Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Nazimiyyah order since Shaykh Nazim (ra) passed away? Is Shaykh Mehmet (ra) now the Murshid of all Mureeds?

2) Does this mean Shaykh Mehmet (ra) is part of the Golden Chain? The 41st Shaykh? Can we recite his name after Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s (ra) when reciting the Silsila?

3) Do mureeds make muraqabah to Shaykh Mehmet (ra) or to Shaykh Nazim (ra)? If so, how would be the best way to do so?
If not, then im confused since I thought we require a living master to give bayat to and connect with?

Will really appreciate your help. May Allah (swt) and His Beloved Rasool (saw) bless you immensely!

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

1) Shaykh Muhammad is one of the three khalifas of Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil and as such represents him as do Mawlana Shaykh Adnan Kabbani and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani. Baya` remains to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani. As Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani recently explained, the leadership of the Tariqah now is spiritually in the hands of Shah Mardan Sayyidina `Ali (r) until the appearance of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as).

2) all three khalifas are part of the Golden Chain but we don’t add their names when reciting the silsilah.

3) Muraqabah remains to Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani.

and Allah knows best.
