noor on face

Question:

Sometimes a brother makes dhikr, recites the Quran, and then people come to him because they see noor on his face. They try to make him laugh, serve him, ask him him for dua, for nadhra, tell him he is a wali, a qutb, etc. Then when they look in the other direction, they leave him, b/c it’s apparent to them now that he is not a wali, and his nafs is big and sick. The brother knows anytime he makes dhikr, these people will see the noor and come and smile at him and praise him. He knows he’s not as they say, and he prefers to be alone. Is there any benefit for him, when they come and sit with him?

Answer:

Yes, because the main ingredient of jihad an-nafs is to have to do what
we prefer not to.
