Question:
Salam
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge but why do we have to seek permission for Dua Hazrat Dawood alay salam? If so who can give permission?
I have only been married for 8 months my marriage is going through a lot of crisis. I have been at my parents for nearly 3 months. I had a small argument with my husband and since then he’s a changed man. I know he loves me but something is stopping him. I want to recite this dua to save my marriage and to gain his love back. Every marriage deserves a chance I don’t want to give up. People say, this dua melts the other person’s heart.
Also, I am reading another wazifah but hasn’t made any difference, will it matter if I continue reading the other wazifah along with this dua? Would you be able to give me permission and how to do this prayer?

Thank you for your question. Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani has already given general permission to use the Dua of Sayyidina Dawud (as), so there is no need for everyone to ask. However, please read the answers in the Posts “Doing any zikr I like” and “Spiritual eye“.
