Praying in public places

Question:

aSalamu alaikum wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatuh. Allah bless the Holy Prophet, and Sultan al-Awliya Sheikh Muhammad Nazim al Haqqani, awliya and Salihin.
Please it’s concerning prayers. I live in a western country, I am a young student. Sometimes, prayer time comes and i am in the train or the public transport with non-beleiving people.

1) If I know I’m going to miss the prayer, should I pray quietly in the bus or in the train or other public space?

2) Secondly, I have classes on Fridays or I work so I have no valid excuse to miss Jumu’ah prayer. Is it recommendable that I skip work or school to go to Jumu’ah?

Please kindly, give me your advice on what is better for taqwa, and pray for us. BarakAllahu fikum.

Answer:

A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

wa `alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
Amin. Please see Shaykh Gibril’s answer here.
