My question is regarding the American one dollar note and talisman. What is a talisman? Does American one dollar note fit the definition or criterion of a talisman? Dollar note has strange symbols and repetition of number 13.

In Islam a talisman is ruqya, which is a form of protection based on writing verses of the Holy Quran, name of Allah, names of the righteous, dua and so forth based in the Sunnah. We stick to that which is well-known, not what causes doubt.
