A “Certain” Athiest

Question:

Hello dear sir,
I am writing you this with my best intentions this if i sound rude, please do accept my apologies in advance.  I have several questions for which i would like to have your answers if possible, my questions will be precise and specific, so please do not be evasive in your answers. Before i ask my questions I would like to say I am an atheist, i do not believe in any god and I certainly do not think Qur’an is a divine book, as it contains countless scientific and historic errors, not to mention how far from logic it is. Here are my questions:

1. Do you have any evidence for existence of any god, in particular of Allah?
2. Do you have any evidence for life after death?
3. More than one year ago, in one of the videos I saw a gentleman from your organization, making several bold predictions, many of which were proven to be false, completely and 100% (just an example, the democratic government in the UK did not fall and prince charles did not take power), so my question is why should I or anyone else give any credibility to someone who has been wrong to this extent?

I am certainly an atheist, but I  am always open to reasoning and evidence, if you provide satisfying answers, I am willing to change my stance, because truth matters the most. But if you do not have any answer to any of my mentioned questions, I would like to know why you deceive people in believing things which are obviously imaginary and far from truth. dear sir, i present you my best wishes and I am looking forward with impatience to your reply.
thank you and may truth prevail.

Answer:

1. The word for “world” in Arabic is “`aalam” which means “Big Sign” because the whole created universe — including every human being — is nothing but a gazillion signs all pointing to a single Creator. One is free, if they wish, to believe that all this mind-boggling design, infinite beauty, diversity, balance, etc. are all random or self-made, which is the height of illogical presumption.

2. As for life after death its reality can only be known in advance through the revelation of Prophets who spoke the truth — all 124,000 of them, the last one being Muhammad, upon him and them blessings and peace– and each finds out about it personally soon enough, when you give up your soul.

3. The timing of historical changes is not as you and I decide but it is up to the writer of history which is God. If something does not happen today, it might happen tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then maybe the next day or the next. Nevertheless, no one claims infallibility as only Prophets are infallible. What is best is to focus on priorities that are agreed upon, such as the certainty of death.

Dream: Seeing Prophet ISA

Dream:

In my dream I saw two people, one which was Prophet Isa and not sure about the other person. In my dream Prophet Isa is in Medina and wants to travel to Makkah. On his Journey alongside with the other person, he wishes to stop by and look at some building from afar. I think this building was somewhere in the USA, I cannot remember what building it was exactly. Then in the dream I am with my friend and I am telling her that I will be travelling with Prophet Isa to Makkah from Medina. I express my joy travelling with him but at the same time I am bit scared as but I decide to go with him.

Interpretation:

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem

Prophet Isa (alayhe’salaam) in the dream means traveling and also taking a job in the medical field like nursing…etc. You’re good at helping people.
And Allah knows Best

Help me please

Question:

Asalaamalaikum,
Since i was born my life has not been so good. Whatever I try to do,it always ends up in trouble. Still I am unable to find why my life is so bad. Sometimes I feel like Allah SWT hates me but I have got some visions in which saints like Abdul Qadir Gilani RA, kale shah Mastan RA have come and say that Allah SWT and his rasool SAW love you. I am confused. Please help me.

Answer:

Alaykum as-Salam,
Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani said that there is no one but they have experienced love in their lives. The difficulty is in remembering to give thanks. If we do, Allah Most High increases our goodness and changes our perception to see more how much He has blessed us and continues to. Recite Ya Lateef x100 daily.

Coping with Loss

Question:

Assalamalaikum
Please help me as I’m extremely depressed and unable to cope. After marriage and then separation husband has moved on easily but I’m still stuck emotionally. I have tried and am trying hard to forget those moments and days i spent in in laws house but still at times especially while I’m about to sleep or sometimes during the day I get stuck in those horrifying memories and i feel extremely dejected and worthless. It just feels like that I should end my life. My heart keeps asking me question “is it so easy for a man to be so unemotional”? and moreover i never even tried to react badly even in bad situations BUT in return got this pain.

As a woman how should i forget the days and horrible experience and emotional abuse i suffered?will my heart get healed?

Answer:

Alaykum as-Salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham said not to think too much as thinking brings pain and depression.

Try to keep patient a little while more so that time will heal that wound in sha Allah. Recite Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum bi-rahmatika astaghith daily x100 and make abundant Salawat.

Poem of Hasan ibn Thabit

Question:

Shaykh Gibril,

Can you translate the poem by Hasan bin Thabit that begins:

w’amsat bilad alharami wahshan yaqa`uha…

Answer:

… And the sanctified country has become desolate
After the disappearance of prophecy which descended on it,
Wild caves, except for the oft-visited side-niche dwelt
By the one they lost, wept by Balat [in Madina] and the gharqad-tree,
And also by his Mosque, filled with sad reminders of his loss:
His empty spots where he used to stand in prayer and where he sat,
And at the Major Stoning Station, there also he is missed
By houses and plains and dwelling quarters and his place of birth.
Therefore weep the Messenger of Allah O my eyes, with flowing tears,
And let me never catch you refraining for the rest of my life!
And why should you not weep the owner of favor
That bestowed it on the people who then basked in it?
So weep him and weep with profuse tears and sobs
For the loss of the one like whom none will ever exist….”

Coping with past

Question:

Asak dear sheikh, I wanted to write my full story but the word count here does not allow. I’m is lost in past where I was used by my husband and laws as a scapegoat to do some treatment for their first daughter in law who was adamant and had gone away with child to her maternal home. I was used to fulfill this man’s lower self desires for 3 months and then was dumped by them and sad part is that his mother and sisters etc were also involved in his preplanning. Now I came to know that his first wife returned and they have another baby too. Why all this happened to me? Why was i used as a scapegoat? Am i so horrible to be used and thrown away so badly? What should i do sheikh? can i do dua for death? PLEASE HELP ME

Answer:

Allah Most High hears and sees and He will requite every injustice and compensate every victim. Do not be angry or sad but rather focus on the blessings He has given you. Ask Him for strength to cross through this test safely. When you turn to Him away from dunya, He puts everything under your feet. Do not ask for death but ask for a blessed life filled with good deeds. Through patience (sabr) He will bring you closer and closer to Him. Recite Hasbiya Allah, Rabbiya Allah x100-1000 daily.

Dream: Dead People

Dream:

I saw my Grandma in my dream wearing a white clothing, she was sitting on the sofa and she was laughing and also i was laughing with her.

Interpretation:

Bismillah ir Rahman ir Raheem

Seeing your grandma like that is a great news. Whatever you are doing is good. Or she is saying to you to be happy and thankful for the good life you are living. White means she is in a good state in the hereafter.

Masha’Allah
And Allah knows Best
