About status of mureeds

Question:

Asselamu wa ‘aleijkum

Why do some people reach spiritual states, have visions, and marifah even at 1 week and others take a lifetime and have nothing in this life? Does this mean that those who have visions and quickly get marifah are better than those who had nothing, even if those people practice more than those who have marifah, kashf and other views too fast? And where is the first-ever online edition of the book “Oceans of Mercy”?

Jazakallahu Khayr

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,
“Greatest karamah is permanency of istiqama” and in our Tariqa the veils
are taken away from the top down, not from the bottom up. So the
phenomena you mention are like children’s trinkets according to our
masters, and the person without them may well be more advanced in their
book.

As for Ma`rifa in the real sense, it is the exclusive province of
Mawlana without second, except those who mirror him and they are less
than the fingers of the hand. In any case we are instructed to ‘wear
blinders’ in our wayfaring and not look right and left with comparisons
to others. It is all you and Mawlana alone in the whole world.
