Hajjah Naziha is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (s) on both her paternal and maternal sides. Her father is Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Haqqani, current world leader of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order. Her mother, Amina bint Ayesha was the daughter of refugees from Tatarstan who fled Soviet oppression of Muslims.
Hajjah Naziha Adil was born into a unique household, which existed and exists for and in the service of Allah. As a young child, she lived next door to Grandshaykh Abdullah Daghestani ق of the Naqshbandi tariqah. Upon his passing, her father, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim became the grandshaykh of the tariqah. Her mother is Hajjah Amina Adil ق, a scholar of Islam, who taught and wrote extensively on the lives of the Prophets.
Hajjah Naziha’s life has not been an easy one, but it has been filled with the honor and dignity of service in many forms. From the time she was ten, travelers who came to Grandshaykh Abdullah ق would stay at the dergah and she would be by her mother’s side helping her mother in cleaning, cooking and serving the Shaykh and the students streaming in and out of his house every day. They worked very hard in the household of their Shaykh – not receiving money or accolades but to serve Allah Ta’ala. When she had free time, she would go to the home or mosque of Grandshaykh Abdullah ق and listen to his lectures. Before his passing, Grandshaykh Abdullah ق married her to Shaykh Hisham Kabbani. She has traveled the world – Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and Alaska – with her parents and husband, doing dhikr and bringing people back in touch with their spiritual selves, with their origin. She has observed many people, cultures, and personal situations, and advises women around the world on a variety of topics.
Thus, she has been in the households of four scholars, and through her diligence in formal studies in Damascus and constant association has become a scholar and advisor herself. Before his passing, Grandshayh Abdullah ق decreed that she would be a teacher for women, and this is what has come to pass. May Allah Ta’ala shower her and her family with blessings evermore, and grant them long life and good health.
