Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for you. You must help Mawlana to help you by praying your namaz.

Kissing Mawlana Shaykh’s hands means submitting to his orders, and his first order is “keep Shari`ah!”

Subhanallah how many people complain that they are having problems in their life with family, with finance, with the job, with their immigration, but then they say “I am lazy to pray.” Allah asks nothing from His servants except worship, then He guarantees their provision:

مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ

No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. (Adh-Dhariyat, 51:57)

How are you not going to quarrel and lose that “loving feeling” when you are not upholding your job as husband? Your first duty is to keep the orders of Allah swt: shahada, salat, zakat, sawm and hajj. Without these pillars, marriage, which is a sunnah not a fard, will certainly not work properly, because it will have no foundation. That is like coming to mosque at Zhuhr time, praying 2 raka`ats of Sunnah and leaving without observing the fard prayer.

May Allah forgive us and you; may Allah help us and you; may Allah bless you and us.
