Dear Brother, I want to learn about how to perform Tarwwih Prayers in Ramzan. I have no knowledge of it. Please tell me a brief tutorial of the Tarawwihi Prayer, how to start and what will be read in each raka’at, its niyat, quantity and what is compulsory to know about it.

Answer:
Wa`alaykumussalam,
Tarawih is performed in Ramadan only, and after ‘Isha prayer. You pray 20 rak’at, in 10 sets of 2 rak’at. In each rak’ah after Fatihah you may recite any verse or short chapter from the Qur’an. The intention is to pray Sunnah Tarawih 2 rak’at lillahi ta’ala.
