If one has lost the love of someone so dear and but does his awrad , pray 5 times, does hajat prayers and seek support from Maulana and recites the blind man doa for forty days and wishes for that person to come back to his life would that be considered charming the person when his intention is pure as he has only love for this person.
What can else can he do to bring her back ? Iman mahdi is coming and i would like to be there for her and her family. Will the shaykhs support me or should i just accept faith and move on totally. Pls guide me.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

Prayers are to Allah and they cannot be “charms” or “spells”, rather they are recommended to believers to achieve their needs, hopes and desires, where Allah said: idu`nee astajib lakum – {call upon Me, I will respond.} (Ghafir, 40:60)

You may continue, knowing that either your prayers will be answered, or you will receive something better in place of what you seek or you will be rewarded in the hereafter, as narrated from Abu Sa`id (r):

The Prophet (s) said: “There is no Muslim who does not offer any du`a in which there is no sin or severing of family ties but Allah will give him one of three things in return: either He will answer his du`a sooner, or he will store it up for him in the Hereafter, or He will divert an equivalent evil away from him because of it.” They said: “We will say a lot of du`a.” The Prophet (s) said: “Allah is more generous.” (Ahmad)

Know to be hasty in du`a may result in it not being accepted. “Haste in du`a” is described in the following hadith.

It was asked, “O Messenger of God?…What does it mean to be hasty?” Prophet Muhammad responded “A worshipper says, ‘I have prayed and prayed , and I don’t yet see that it will be accepted; so he gives up hope of being answered, and leaves du`a.

Moreover Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is reported to have said, “O People! God is al-Tayyib (pure), and He only accepts that which is pure! God has commanded the Messengers, for He said, ‘O Messengers! Eat from the pure foods, and do right.’ Furthermore he said, ‘O you who believe! Eat from the pure and good foods we have given you.’ Then Prophet Muhammad (s) mentioned a traveller on a long journey, who is dishevelled and dusty, and he stretches forth his hands to the sky, saying, ‘O my Lord! O my Lord!’, While his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he is nourished unlawfully; how can he be answered?”

It was narrated by Fadalah ibn `Ubayd (r) that The Prophet (s) heard a man making du`a after his prayer, but he did not send blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon Him). The Prophet (s) said: “This man is in a hurry.” Then he called him and said to him or to someone else: “When any one of you has finished praying (and makes du`a), let him start by praising Allah, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet (s), then after that let him ask for whatever he wants.” (Tirmidhi)
