Question:
AsSalamuAlaikum,
I have a question about the different representatives of MSN. I don’t know exactly what happened in the past and I don’t know how things got resolved, but what is Sheikh AbdulKerim’s position in the tariqa? I’m hearing some confusing stuff. Sheikh Ahmet Yasin in Bursa says he and his followers shouldn’t even be saluted. Sheikh Abdulkerim’s followers claim he is a worldwide wakeel of MSN. And I saw from a sohbah few years ago when MSN calls Sheikh Abdulkerim a representative from the USA. Is he a true representative of MSN, and is he at the level of a murshid, or just a dhikr leader? Forgive me for my lack of adab.

There are no position’s in tariqah except what the Shaykh assigned. We don’t interfere in that, but we say, as Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said:
Now I can say he was very good and may Allah bless his soul and may Allah bless him to be with Grandshaykh. Bi hurmati ‘l-habeeb, bi hurmati ‘l-Fatiha... what I want to say, when someone is dying there are no ill-feelings at that time. Ill-feelings will go. It is a situation that everyone must pray …for Shaykh Abdul Karim that Allah will send them to highest station in Paradise! That is our position and our belief. If they don’t want to say that in order to make fitna that is their intention… may Allah forgive us and every murid of Mawlana Shaykh … and forgive Shaykh Abdul Karim and send them to the highest position in Paradise.
It is enough that Shaykh Hisham called him Shaykh and that Mawlana Shaykh called him his representative, may Allah reward him to be with Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and Grandshaykh `Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q).
