Request:
assalam alleikum wrwb,
I know a sister and brother that just got married after I had introduced them. I hope their marriage will be blessed and for the sake of pleasing Allah. I thought they would be a good couple since they both did independent activities as part of dawah, but they’ve only been married a little bit and both seem to have other issues going on as far as trust in each other. I am worried for the both of them and wish neither to get hurt or used. Allah bless them and all Muslims.
Please madad Mawlana
Response:
wa `alaykum salam,
The Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) never turned away those who came to him in repentance. Similarly his inheritors have a duty to help those who repent to Allah and His Prophet in a sincere way. However, those who are unrepentant cannot benefit because the precondition of forgiveness and help is sincere repentance. As Allah Most High said: {and they do not insist on their deliberate wrongdoing} (3:135). Advise them in the best way and then leave the matter to Allah Most High as you are not responsible for what they do. {If they
surrender, then truly they are rightly guided, and if they turn away,
then it is your duty only to convey the message} (3:20).
