I am 3_year of male. My wife and I have been married for 5 or so years. After the birth of our son our life changed as we started arguing about small small issues. She told me that she doesn’t love me any more and she wants call it a quit. Since last year we have been going though a lot of misunderstandings…finally she went to her parents house, leaving me and the kid ….While she is there at my in-laws they have really brainwashed her against me and now she has demanded talaq. I endend up giving 1 talaq, but the iddah period isn’t over. I love my wife. Please, what can I do to bring back the love and continue with our lives as a happy family? Jazak allah kheir.
Response:
Write your wife that you love her. Tell her why you love her and why you want her to give you another chance. Ask her to let you see her in private. Bring her a worthy gift if she does, if not send it to her. Ask a female elder from your side to deliver it if possible, and argue your case if she gets a chance.
Make istighfar at all times. Ask Allah for more wisdom and maturity. Be prepared not to argue at all but show complete patience and surrender to the Divine decree. Do not blame others, it is all between you and Him so look well where you stand in relation to Him.
Recite “Ya Hafeez Ya Jabbar” x100 daily and ask Allah to mend your family.
