Question:
Salaams,
I am extremely worried about my brother. He is a Naqshabandi follower but he doesn’t understand it properly. Recently he told me this, his words, “I am not responsible for my Akhirat, but one of the Sheikhs is as I have taken bayat“. So I asked him say if you do bad deeds than you think you are okay..and his response was yes as the Sheikh is responsible for me. Isn’t this absolutely incorrect? Every Muslim is responsible for his own actions? Am i not right?
Answer:
Wa `Alaykum Salam,
Each person shall be responsible for his and her actions. This is an established belief. NO one shall escape from Allah’s Reckoning in the Hereafter.
Nevertheless, one may find in pious ones a source of help whether in the grave or on the Day of Reckoning. Perhaps Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. will help everyone, or he shall appoint one of his pious believers to help. Refer to this posting.
May Allah keeps us with His true ones.
