Assalaamu Alaykum dearest shayukh,
I am a high school teacher at an affluent Muslim school in South Africa. The learners of this school are RUDE, disrespectful, arrogant and refuse to stop chatting in order for me to conduct an effective lesson. They have no adaab whatsoever despite it being a Muslim school and despite the principal lecturing them daily about this. What duah or special Quraanic verses can I recite before I teach for the learners to cooperate?

Ask one of them to come up and recite some Qur’an to begin classes. Give them recognition. This way Allah will bless the process and they will want to listen to each other and to you.
