I was playing out n it started raining heavily. On seeing the rain, i remembered that Allah listens to the duas soon when its raining, and i started making dua to Allah to unite me with the person whom i love as my husband by convincing my brother and my family for it.

Please keep making istigfar (reciting astagfirullah) at least 100x before each prayer and keep on making doa at tahajjud time (before Fajr). That is the time of rahma and acceptance (denoted by rain). Before making the doa recite astagfirullah and Darood Shareef and then go to sajdah and make the doa in sajdah. after coming up from sajdah recite again Darood Shareef. Insha Allah, your doa will be accepted.
