Points i need: how to communicate with children, how to teach adab, iman, tauhid, Quran recitation, discipline, independent, etc.

The key to raising children in this holy way is suhbat, or association. As Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani emphasizes, the famous statement of Shah Bahauddin Naqshband, tariqatuna as-suhbat wa ‘l-khayru fi ‘l-jam`iyya, “our Way is that of association and the greatest good is in the gathering” is an essential principle of the Way. Thus any gathering for remembrance of Allah or recitation of Salawat, under the name of the Shaykh, will be of most benefit to raising a child in this Way. In such gatherings, not only is the practice of Islam and this Holy Way taught in a practical manner, but all kinds of discipline and manners are present and even if not able to attend in the physical presence of the Shaykh, his spirituality is present and able to ‘download’ to the mureeds who are present, essential spiritual fayd, or outpourings. Even if one gathers with one’s own family members each Thursday night and do the Khatm Khawajagan by following the Sufilive broadcast, or by following what’s in the Guidebook, this fayd will be transmitted and have everlasting impact on the child.
