Throwing pebbles represents fighting Shaytan. Your brother represents your ego who is trying to prevent you from eluding Shaytan. But due to Awliya’s love for you, they have empowered your constant Dhikr and seeking refuge in Allah to grant you an angel (the man) who makes Dhikr on your behalf up to Judgment Day and all the thawaab is written for you. One of the wisdoms that some mureeds have heavy satanic whisperings in their hearts is so they are always fighting back strongly and thus remembering Allah and seeking His Protection, which otherwise they would not do. Allah knows best.
