The power of awliyaullah is such that they can do what others cannot do, by the power that Allah grants them. One of the hadith that Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani says in this regard, relating the first hadith he learned from his first hadith teacher:
“‘Ya `abdee, ati`nee ija`alak rabbaniyyan. O My servant! Obey Me! I will make you rabbaniyyan.’
What is the meaning of rabbaniyyan? Allah swt explains and says, when Allah Almighty is giving such ah honor, rutba, and authority to that person, taqoolu li shayin kun fa yakoon, he can say to a thing, ‘Be! and it will be.'”
