Are these sunnah practices?

Question:

Asalaamu Alaykum Esteemed Staff of eShaykh

Where I live there are traditions that it is not good to sleep or take a bath between the hours of late asir time and before the magrib athan has been called.
Another is that it is not good to cut nails at night, sit on the door step entrance to the house or hang clothes out after magrib time and to be left out overnight to dry.
Can you please tell me if these traditions have any basis in our religion or are they just old wives tales?

Thank you, forgive me and pray for me.

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
Some Prophetic reports state the dislike of sleeping between `Asr and Maghrib. Cutting nails at night was disliked only because one may not see well and then cut himself. I do not know the basis of the rest.
