Dream:
Salam wa aleykum dearest Eshaykh staff

Mawlana Sheikh Hisham, may you kindly interpret this dream inshAllah please:
I recently saw a dream (although it was a dream, I felt it actually happened because I was making conscious decisions in it) where I met an elderly nun. I saw her standing before me, and I knew she was someone high ranking/important and respected. I felt compelled to kiss her hand out of respect for her. I kissed her hand twice. As I am a mureed of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim, once I kissed her hand I got worried that this meant that I was her mureed so I immediately said to myself “Allahu Allahu Allahu Haqq” three times.
I then vaguely remember and I feel that she imparted some sort of spiritual knowledge to me.

Interpretation:
wa `alaykum salam,
What you saw as a nun in the dream in fact is a spiritual representation of one aspect of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani, whose name begins with ‘nun‘. It is that side related to humility, compassion and mercy, for Allah praised them:
{and nearest among them in love to the believers wilt thou find those who say, “We are Christians”: because amongst these are men devoted to learning and men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.} (Surat al-Ma’idah, 5:82)
{And thereupon We caused [other of] Our apostles to follow in their footsteps; and [in the course of time] We caused them to be followed by Jesus, the son of Mary, upon whom We bestowed the Gospel; and in the hearts of those who [truly] followed him We engendered compassion and mercy. But as for monastic asceticism – We did not enjoin it upon them: they invented it themselves out of a desire for God’s goodly acceptance… } (Surat al-Hadid, 57:27)
And that is connected to the reality of Sayyidina `Isa (as) who will descend at the End of Time to restore the religion of Sayyidina Muhammad (s), and Mawlana Shaykh’s deep relationship with those events.
