Dream:
As-salam-alaikum,
First off THANK you for this amazing site!
I had a dream last night….I was near the kaabah and I was touching it. In the dream I was so shocked to be there it was amazing. however, my head was not covered and for some reason I did not feel like I wanted to cover it or feel the need to. The floor beneath me had holes in it so me and my cousin (whom I rarely speak to in real life) were walking on it. I noticed my cousin had a scarf over her head and I was thinking how really I do not need one. I felt amazing being near Allah’s home in the dream, the colors and wall was so vibrant and beautiful. I am just really confused about not having a headscarf on and how I felt it was not necessary. What are your thoughts?
Interpretation:
wa `alaykum salam,
That visitation to the House of Allah was not on earth, but to the heavenly Ka`ba, known as the Bayt al-Ma’mur. Ka`ba is a reflection of the Bayt al-Ma’mur, in the fourth Heaven circumambulated by angels. This is where the Prophet (s) prayed as imam with all prophets in Laylat al-Isra and Mi`raj. Since you were in heaven you had no need for hijab.
