Dream:
I had a dream, a very real like dream I was so awake, in fact more awake than I normally feel. The feeling had disturbed me upon wakening because I didn’t know where I was- not just in terms of place but in terms of the world, the earth what I was doing here, who I was. It was as though I had dipped into a different realm. It’s very difficult to describe. It’s a feeling one has to experience to understand.
I had been watching a few sobhats of Shaykh Hisham for a few days, the Naqshbandi tariqa was new to me.
In my dream, I enter into a room, a very old fashioned room, where a kitchen was behind in the background. People were seated gathered around someone. I went closer and realised it was Shaykh Nazim and people were about to do bayat. Shaykh Nazim asked me if I wanted to, I said I was too afraid of what my brother would do and he said do what your heart tells you. So I came into the gathering and took bayat with him. After this, Shaykh went and everyone resumed to what they were doing; cleaning the room.
What does this dream mean?
Interpretation:
It is a dream about growth and change at the hands of Mawlana and his caliph. The kitchen stands for spiritual teachings being passed to you.
