Question:
Hello dear sir,
I am writing you this with my best intentions this if i sound rude, please do accept my apologies in advance. I have several questions for which i would like to have your answers if possible, my questions will be precise and specific, so please do not be evasive in your answers. Before i ask my questions I would like to say I am an atheist, i do not believe in any god and I certainly do not think Qur’an is a divine book, as it contains countless scientific and historic errors, not to mention how far from logic it is. Here are my questions:
1. Do you have any evidence for existence of any god, in particular of Allah?
2. Do you have any evidence for life after death?
3. More than one year ago, in one of the videos I saw a gentleman from your organization, making several bold predictions, many of which were proven to be false, completely and 100% (just an example, the democratic government in the UK did not fall and prince charles did not take power), so my question is why should I or anyone else give any credibility to someone who has been wrong to this extent?
I am certainly an atheist, but I am always open to reasoning and evidence, if you provide satisfying answers, I am willing to change my stance, because truth matters the most. But if you do not have any answer to any of my mentioned questions, I would like to know why you deceive people in believing things which are obviously imaginary and far from truth. dear sir, i present you my best wishes and I am looking forward with impatience to your reply.
thank you and may truth prevail.
Answer:
1. The word for “world” in Arabic is “`aalam” which means “Big Sign” because the whole created universe — including every human being — is nothing but a gazillion signs all pointing to a single Creator. One is free, if they wish, to believe that all this mind-boggling design, infinite beauty, diversity, balance, etc. are all random or self-made, which is the height of illogical presumption.
2. As for life after death its reality can only be known in advance through the revelation of Prophets who spoke the truth — all 124,000 of them, the last one being Muhammad, upon him and them blessings and peace– and each finds out about it personally soon enough, when you give up your soul.
3. The timing of historical changes is not as you and I decide but it is up to the writer of history which is God. If something does not happen today, it might happen tomorrow. If not tomorrow, then maybe the next day or the next. Nevertheless, no one claims infallibility as only Prophets are infallible. What is best is to focus on priorities that are agreed upon, such as the certainty of death.
