Question:
1. I am a young widow. I loved my husband dearly, he is the only person I wish for. Life is difficult, I have children. If I marry again how will my deceased husband feel when he hears. He was a very respectful person who loved me.
2. Also when in the next life… if our children have grown up, will they be recognizable to my deceased husband. As you know children change from small age to adults. Wont they be total strangers to each other?
3. I am 3- my husband passed at age 4-.
Time passes in the world, if live until old age, i will automatically think like an old woman,, how will i feel when i meet my husband in the next life, because i have heard that you remember the world.
Thank you for your kind reply, it is much appreciated. May Allah reward you.
Answer:
A remarried widow will have the choice of whichever husband she prefers in Paradise.
The hereafter does not compare to this life, so if one’s state is good in the hereafter they no longer look at this life because it is like a candlelight in comparison to the sun. Therefore do not worry about how your deceased husband will feel as he is completely absorbed in a new life, a much better one in sha Allah.
In the next life children will certainly know their parents even if those children died in stillbirth.
As for age it does not apply in the next world, and Paradise will be filled only with youth. This is the meaning of the Prophet’s saying: “No old woman shall enter Paradise” i.e. she will be young again when she enters it.
Lastly, what we remember of the world is only the eternal part, i.e. the dhikr of Allah and of His generosity to us and other Attributes. May Allah grant you and us Paradise.
