Question:
Salaam Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakathu,
I took Bayat with Maulana Shaykh Nazim in September of 2011. Since then masha’Allah I have read another Shaykh’s books and seen his discourses and have become interested in Qadriyyah. My question is :
If I have Bayat with Maualana is it permissible for me to become a talib and take and learn from another Shaykh in a different Tariqat while still having Maulana Shaykh Nazim as my Murshid? I read a similar questions and something was said about bayat with another Shaykh for barakah meaning Nur Upon Nur. I figured I would humbly ask for your blessing. JazaakAllahu Khair

Alaykum Salam,
Irshad and spiritual guidance for you is in the hand of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret), so you are asking to leave the ocean and go to the stream that leads to it, like someone who goes back and takes a detour in order to reach the place where he has already arrived. You should focus on Mawlana and ask to plunge into the Ocean which is enough for several lifetimes of a million like us, even if you feel more comfortable elsewhere. May Allah grant you and us tawfiq.
