Born in Bangladesh, as-Syed is long-time student of both Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani. Syed Shahzaman is the designated representative of the Naqshbandi-Haqqani Sufi Order in Dallas Texas. A descendant of Ahl al-Bayt, as-Syed has spent over 25 years under the training and teaching of his Sufi Shaykhs and has accompanied both shaykhs in their travels in many areas of the world.
