Slm, I had a dream I was in a field wearing thobes with people and someone told us that Allah commanded die/sacrifice ourselves I then fell on my knees crying out of joy. Please explain what this means Jzkl. I also may think I’m a wali.
Answer:
Causing one’s own death is categorically haram except in the case of the Banu Isra’il who were ordered to kill one another in repentance and expiation for evildoing (Surat al-Baqara 2:54). The only other meaning would be for you to die to your ego. Then Allah will give you life in Him in sha Allah. Find a spiritual guide or at least — meanwhile — a trustworthy friend.
