Dream:
As salamu alaykum,
My name is [private] and I’m 1_ and doing Qur’an Hifz
My pet love bird which I had for 10 years died on Maulana’s birthday on Saturday. That night I had a dream that my bird came to me and said “I have gone to heaven to meet Prophet Sulayman to get my wing repaired” I then looked at his right wing which was equal size to his left but was a single orange feather. He then said to me, “Read surah Yaseen every morning for me, while I’m gone”
Since then I have been reading surah Yaseen every morning.
I would be grateful for my dream to be interpreted and can you please include what happens to animals when they die. Also if they come back to their owners in the afterlife.
Jazakallah.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:
wa `alaykum salam,
It is established that animals in general will not continue to the afterlife, but certain animals will. For example, the dog from Surat al-Kahf will be in Paradise due to its intense love for the Companions of the Cave. This is in accordance with the hadith, yuhshar al mar’u ma’ man ahab, “The person will be gathered with the one whom he loves.” Keep reading Yaseen as it is the heart of the Quran and carries tremendous blessings.
