I was referred to here by a friend after I told him about a recurring dream that I had since I was six years old , of drowning in the Arctic Ocean in various different ways . What could it possibly mean? It is a very vivid dream for me.

It means gnosis, knowledge of Allah which requires drowning. Seeing it from various angles that the nafs, self must drown.
