You should do something for him in return. For example recite 10 times Darood Shareef everyday and send it to his soul as a gift and make dua to Allah subhanahu Ta’ala that He grants forgiveness and mercy to your grand father. additionally If you are able to read the Holy Quran Shareef then start reciting Sura Yaseen Shareef everyday once and send the rewards of the recitation to his soul.
