Question:
I was at my grandad’s house, it was night and everyone was asleep when my grandad showed me an album which included pictures of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). There where pictures of him but they all looked different and I could almost tell that they were not of him. There where 5-6 pictures of him but I only studied two in detail (and saved in my memory). The two pictures showed his face as portrait pictures. One was from and angle and the other was a front view. In one he had a thick black beard wearing a turban and the other he had a grey beard and exposed his grey hair.
I have had around three dreams of the Holy Prophet and two of them involved my grandad and the first one I had in my childhood but in all of them I knew it was not him.
Answer:
Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:
Seeing different picture of Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) is a reminder and guidance for you and all us about the hadith:
“Al-mu’min miraata akhee.” The mu’min is the mirror of his brother.
Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) is the perfect mirror. You may listen and meditate on this suhba from Mawlana Shaykh Hisham to understand the wisdom of your dream. And Allah knows best.
