Dream:
I have twice dreamt about the Prophet Mohammed (saws). The first time I saw his face, the second time I had been brought to him by an angel. I remember he was behind a door and I was also conscious of Allah being behind this door as well. I stood speaking to Fatima (ra) for a moment, then I went through the door. Inside was a room with a table, with the Prophet (saws) and 2 other men sitting around it (I remember being aware that one of them was Adam [as]). There was a map on the table and the Prophet (saws) was pointing to the Red Sea. I sat down with them and we discussed a terrible battle that was ahead of us. I had some objections to the battle because I felt that there would be so many people nowadays who wouldn’t be able to handle fighting.
Interpretation:
Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham said about the endless honor to see Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a dream :
Seeing the Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in a dream means you will be relieved from seven difficulties in dunya and in akhirah. Also, Imam Suyuti (r) said that if you see the Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) in your dream, you will see him in reality before you leave dunya!
Malhamatu ‘l-Kubra (Armageddon) foretold by Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) will take place in the ‘Amuq Valley (a northern extension of the Red Sea) before the coming of Sayidina Mahdi (ʿalayhi s-salām). Your dream represents this battle within yourself to bring real sincerity in your heart. The presence of Sayida Fatima (ra) shows your piety and the great love of Prophet (saws) for you. Sayidina Adam (as) represents the first station of the heart (Qalb) where shaytan can enter to whisper and lead us astray. The battle on the Red Sea represent the jihad within yourself, the fight against your ego (the “Pharaoh” within us) and against the influence of shaytan in the first level of your heart.
The Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) leading the battle shows that you will succeed by increasing your recitation of salawat and following the guidance of an true inheritor of Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). The doubts in the present of Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) shows a deficiency which needs improvement. And Allah knows best.
