Dream:
At a lavish bridal shower in this building where the elite class of my city resides. I’m in a room with my sister and cousin, when the building shakes and starts falling. Screams everywhere. We’re going underwater. The deeper we’re going under, more water comes in. I run to search for my mother. I feel like my cousin and sister died. Finding my mother, I go kiss her feet and ask for forgiveness. We both lay down on the floor and we can’t stop reciting the first Kalma. We knew we were going to die. Only thing that came out of our mouths was the Kalma. The building was falling and I fainted. I woke up and my mum and I were alive. People all around us were running around in despair. I was crying. But then I saw my sister and cousin alive. I hugged my sister really tight. It started to rain heavily.
Interpretation:
Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:
It shows that you will be from those who will die before they die, insh Allah (death of the ego). The rain represents mercy and it means you will also reach the presence of Prophet (ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) insh Allah after killing your ego and its bad characteristics.
Like you saw in your dream, you may try to recite the dhikr of “La ilaha illallah” from 100 to 1000 times daily (finishing with Muhammad Rasul-Allah, ṣall Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), as advised by our mashaykh who said it was the best sword against the ego.
