Kissing the Shaykh’s hand means taking baya`. He didn’t look at you means it is not in yours destiny to be his mureed, and a Shaykh will not look at another Shaykh’s mureed, in the spiritual realm it is considered spiritual zina. So your baya` is for tabarruk, blessings, but your true baya` you must seek the Shaykh who has been written for you. Allah knows best.
