Dream:
Salam, It was around morning 10 am I think quite sometime ago after I became disciple ; saw Mawlana Shaikh Nazim was wearing white attire like the kind of robe he wears, and was putting on a white robe on me, telling me I was to be sacrificed in the name of God. I could feel fear even in my dreams and saying but what about my parents I will miss them, i am not ready to die I don’t want to die now, I could feel fear and I think I woke up almost crying shivering a bit it almost shook something inside me, don’t know the exact meaning of this dream but thought at an odd time maybe the devil showed me a scary dream to scare me about death. I want to really know whats the significance. I have never met Mawlana Shaikh Nazim in person.
Interpretation:
wa `alaykum salam,
It means you are a disciple of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani though you haven’t met and you have been granted in the dream to reach the level of “die before you die” about which Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani said, in the suhbat “Die before you die“:
All saints have to go through an experience at least once in their life: to die before they die. The Prophet (s) said to the Companions, “Whoever wants to see someone who passed away before he has passed away, let him look at Abu Bakr as-Siddiq.” He killed his ego. When are all of us going to die? God may give us the power to kill our ego and make ourselves “die before we die.”
Work hard to reach that level in physical life by following the Shaykh with love and obedience, insha-Allah.
