Question:
Assalam u Alaikum dear Sheikh,
There is a dua I have been making for 6 years. Although I keep on getting doubts that it is impossible to happen in this world but I believe nothing is impossible for Allah so I keep on making this dua. Also, because my heart keeps on telling me not to give up on dua and don’t lose hope in Allah’s Mercy.
I am suffering from chronic depression. I had a dream few days ago that I was reading a book where it was written that Mawlana Sheikh Daghistani had said to recite this tasbeeh 100 times and your goals and desires will be fulfilled. After waking up I forgot the written verse except for a word which was khair/khairin.
I recently got a copy of Mawlana Shah Naqshband’s awrad and it has exact page colour, layout and font that I have seen in my dream. While I started reading it, I had a thought about this dream and wondering about the ayat and the only word I remembered, and suddenly I found the word khair on the line I was reading while I had this thought. I checked the intro of the book where it was written in the last line of the paragraph
‘your goals and desires will be fulfilled’. In my dream also it was the last line of the last paragraph on page. What does this dream mean? Is it a sign of acceptance of my dua?
Many thanks!
Also many thanks to Sheikh Hajj Gibril Haddad for his response to my prayer request. It gave me lot of ease.
Answer:
Waalaykumussalam,
It is a good dream and signifies rizq, support and fulfillment in sha Allah. Recite:
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
“My nurturing Lord, forgive and grant mercy, and You are the best of those that grant mercy” (al-Mu’minun 23:118).
