Dream:
Salaam alaikum
I respectfully ask for an interpretation to my dream which is as follows:
My friend was sitting close to Habib Umar. She was excited to be sitting in his presence. After this initial part of the dream Habib Umar is in my bedroom talking to me about being a virtuous person. Once he was done, he made a dua for me, and I began weeping.
After he made dua for me, he left my room and I remembered that I did not ask him to make dua for my friend. I began frantically searching for Habib Umar, I could not find him.
How do we know if our dreams have meaning to it, or if their from us. I’m asking because I have vivid dream daily and I’m wondering if they hold any special meaning to them or if they are just my imagination?
Jazakhallah Khair
Walaikum Salam
Interpretation:
wa `aaykum salam,
Dreams of awliyaullah and salihin are true dreams and depending on their clarity and interpretation are a form of guidance.
Insha-Allah this dream means you and your friend are being guided and blessed in the way you are keeping, following the guidance of al-Habib `Umar bin Hafizh, and your love for each other will be a support for that, for you wanted to make sure she got the same benefit you received.
W ‘Allahu `alam,
Taher Siddiqui
