Question:
Es-Selamu-Alejkum
I’m a practicing male Muslim and not married yet. I understand and accept the importance of marriage and feel ready for it. I’m not looking for status or wealth or excessive beauty in women. Dozens of proposals are refuted from me thinking that she is not the one and my heart is elsewhere. What can I do to find the truth in this difficult situation, which is risking to harm my life?
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Our way is based on consultation. Next time a proposal comes, consult either your parents or your shaykh if you have one. If you don’t it is time to get one, in order to have guidance in this, one of the most important aspects of your life.
