ASA, Whenever I meet someone I like, & he seems to like me too, I find out that he’s involved with or committed to someone else. Even when they’re not immediately with someone else, they always seem to prefer any friends I have over me. I don’t understand it: all sorts of personalities and body shapes and skin colours meet and fall in love and happily marry that I can see, but why can’t I? I’m normal in every way. Now I’m pushing 40 and will lose my chance at children as well as love if this goes on. Are marriage & kids not for me? Also how do I deal with people who patronize/pity me for being single?
