The guardians and parents are to act in the best interests of mentally challenged Muslims. They are not to be prevented from being married if it is in their best interest taking into account their health, psychological state and financial situation. It is advisable to unite individuals with similar challenges in marriage through the organizations and services that cater the special needs of the mentally challenged couples.
