Question:
My husband gave me 2 talaq in one sitting, he gave one by text message and 1 by saying it. After the iddat period we renewed our Nikkah. One day he got angry and gave me another talaq and recently gave me another talaq. Can we still reconcile?
Answer:
The texted talaq by itself is insufficient to count as a talaq without actual intention to that effect as it may be merely a threat. Likewise the talaq made in fury does not count due to the hadith to that effect. The two other talaqs are valid and therefore you have the chance to reconcile one last time. Allah knows best.
