Question:
Assalamoalaikum
One of my friend, he was drunk and was informed later that he fought his wife and gave talaq. This guy does not remember anything and he says that I can say that by putting my hand on Quran in front of 40 people that I don’t remember anything. The guy repented in front of me and cried also. He needs suggestion whether he should believe on what his relatives say? Pl. inform ASAP whether talaq/divorce happens even if the person does not remember anything?

The divorce of a drunkard does not count as such. But, if you live in a country where there is shariah court refer the case to it so it can determine whether his wife should stay with him or separate from him.
